Writing SMART Job Objectives
Course Description
This workshop enables participants to write results-focused job objectives that are aligned to the mission of the organization. Learners will review and apply the SMART model for writing objectives. During the workshop Performance Indicators, Contributing Factors and weighted objectives are also addressed. Through practice and discussion, participants will create and edit a minimum of one SMART objective suitable for use in their organization.
Audience: Employees and Rating Officials
Length: 3.5 Hours
Learning Objectives
- Describe the nature and content of an effective job objective
- Identify how objectives are rated by rating officials
- Create and edit at least one SMART job objective
- Learn how to select the most appropriate Contributing Factor(s) to associate with each objective
